  • I'm guessing around spring time. But hopefully before then.
Are you too good to tango with the poor poor boys?
  • I thought they were great as well. Saw them in September and I think they played 4-5 of the new songs also. They were just as good, if not better, than all the other songs.
  • i saw them back in july when they began their tour at summerfest. they played 3 new songs and one of them was really good with the others being pretty good. i'm excited to hear some new studio stuff.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me
  • Whats the new stuff sound like?
    "I am a doughnut." (live - Berlin, Germany - 11/03/96)

"Behave like rock stars - not like the President." (live - Noblesville, IN - 8/17/98)

"Yeah, I was gonna learn to play it (Breath) but somebody slipped me a bottle of viagra and was busy doing something else six times last night" (live - New York, NY - 9/10/98)

    --Ed

  • It's hard to say, the only recordings I've heard are pretty crappy.

Look on youtube if you are interested.

  • If the growth they had between "Youth and Young Manhood" and "Aha Shake Heartbeat" is any indication we're in for one hell of an album.

Slightly off topic, but I still don't understand why they went with that version of "California Waiting" on the album... there's a b-side version of it that's GORGEOUS. I can't even listen to the album-choice (though it's still good).
Come on pilgrim you know he loves you..

Oh my, they dropped the leash.

Morgan Freeman/Clint Eastwood 08' for President!

    "Make our day"
  • I have thought the same for so long. That EP rocks! Wicker Chair is an unblelievable song.

  • They played the same setlist for the 7 times i saw PJ + kings of leon in australia. only alternating between trani or milk..

i got the setlist page for one of the nights...

    "Black thumbnail
    King
    4 kicks
    on call
    arizona
    mollys
    bucket
    milk
    mcfearless
    spiral
    slow (with EV)"

i really like on call.. its the one that keeps saying "Ill be there!"

mcfearless has a really good drum beat with lots of snare drum rolls. im guessing its not eventually going to be called "mcfearless"

arizona is sorta boring besides the bassline at parts

and black thumbnail is a nice rocker that sounds like their older stuff a little..
    ...The Moon is Rollin' Round....

Thanks for sharing all that. That set is barely enough songs to get rolling. Can't wait to see these guys headlining soon.
