    Yeah i read that yesterday. Dont know whether its a good thing or bad. I wish Audioslave would call it a day - Soundgarden were such a kickass band in comparison.

    Will still be interested to hear the song though! Cornell is a great guitar player, he's always been better when he's written on guitar rather than just writing lyrics for Audioslave

    I like Bond...I like Cornell.....so I say this should be pretty cool! Maybe Chris will get some of his inner Beatle love out and do something "Live and Let Die" esque

    Audioslave's best songs are the one's Cornell obviously pioneered :p

    This isn't Chris' first shot at doing a Bond song. He did one back when he was working with Alain and Natasha, but the Bond nazi's took issue with some of his lyrics.

    It later turned up in a Spiderman movie sung by the Ours guy.

    Garbage did The World is Not Enough



    I'm excited to hear Cornell take on 007. I can't believe they let Madonna stink up the last movie with both a horrid song and shit acting abilities.

    No release date yet, but he's planning to record it before the end of the summer, and says it will probably lean towards a more acoustic sound than Euphoria Morning.

    Duran Duran & a-Ha are great pop bands (from an age where pop bands actually still wrote their own music). Sheena Easten however was awful :)

    Best Bond theme? I'd go with Carly Simon - 'Nobody does it better' from The Spy Who Loved Me.

    I agree with a couple of things that you said........Duran Duran=great pop band,but a-Ha=a really bad pop band. Sheena was easy on the eyes, not the ears. Yes, the Carly song was probably the best of the Bond theme songs.

    i saw a vj in mtv talking about cornell-bond new song and his name ´´you know my name´´ it´s a good name for a movie soundtrack....

    by the way, it doesn´t surprised me if chris cornell start a movie actor career, he has the charisma, good body and he´s sexy... talking about singers and movies, gavin rossdale act well as a gabriel on ´´constantine´´...

    ^ I don't know about Chris acting though. He said that he doesn't like acting, and is thankful that he didn't have to open his mouth in the Singles movie aside from the song number.

    Besides... he doesn't really talk too well, in my opinion. He gropes for words and stammers occassionally. And no matter how photogenic he is, he doesn't look comfortable at all in any of the Varvatos stuff I've seen him in. If you want him to look good, just let him be himself.

    Two cents.

    I can almost see him in the music video. If I see a girl wrapped around his arm I'm going to laugh god help me.

    That wasn't the only thing sucking in the last Bond flick. Pierce did 2 decent ones: Goldeneye and TWINE but the 2nd and 4th ones sucked. And if they wanted to go younger since Casino Royale is the 1st Ian Flemming novel before Bond gets 00 status Why go with someone almost as old as Pierce. Also saw the set got destroyed wherever they are filming from storms or fire or something it eludes me right now exactly how it went down.
