K-ROCK here in NY is having a contest....best summer anthem songs of all time.
CRAZYTRAIN vs ALIVE.

ALIVE was winning the entire time but was edge out at the last minute. Everyone calling in was bashing ALIVE saying it wasn't an ATHEM song. In a way I kinda agree but losing to OZZY CRAZYTRAIN come on.....maybe WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS but not CRAZYTRAIN. I personally think it was fixed but thats just me.

    that's bull, but oh well. the list is bullshit anyway, not just for pearl jam but for other bands. but hey, at least they got 2nd in that best band thing

    To me Alive is the anthem of all anthems. I know there are more than a few on here who is sick of it, but it was the first PJ song I heard back in '91 and still my favorite all-time song to this day.

    Sure, when some people hear the opening chords they might graon a little bit, but by the time the bridge and the third chorus comes up, who can just stand there and not be moved to sing along?

    Maybe a robot or a bear or a canned good, but not a human.
    It's all about the music...

    I hate Anthem songs. I cringe whn I hear people refer to Alive as an 'Anthem' song. Anthem songs make me think of Kiss and AC/DC.

    Im glad they lost.
