A couple days ago I bought Neil Youngs newest offering from his vault, Live From Massey Hall 1971. It is by far the best disc I have purchased in a LONG TIME! I should have prefaced this by saying that I was a HUGE fan of acoustic music and also a huge NY fan, but I think this is a must have for everyone here. GREAT STUFF. I cannot stop listening to it.

I believe Ed refers to Neil Young as "Grandpa/Uncle Neil". Therefore, Neil Young is FAMILY....and belongs on "The Porch".

I do remember Ed saying something to the effect of booing Neil Young at a Pearl Jam show is like throwing stones at God himself if he came down to preach at sunday mass. I'm paraphrasing, but you get the idea.

  • Dude I was in a trance during the first and subsequent spins of that cd. So good, crazy to think it was probably one of the first times he ever played Old Man. I think my favorite part is his explanation going into the Needle and the Damage Old.

Uncle Neil and Me! He is really cool and very humble.

You can go on his myspace/website and listen to two songs. This is prolly not necessary as the CD rules and you should just buy it.
