Our tickets are Section 114 - probably not that good, but that's o.k.
I have never been to a NIN concert before. I presume it will be rather wild on the floor. If so, it is better that we are not there - we are old.
Actually it's probably more wild towards the front. I saw them there on the last tour and I was on the floor, I just hung out further back and had a great view of the stage and I was able to dance like a madman during the faster songs like Sin and March of the Pigs.

Awesome show! I loved it. Good seats in Section 114 - few people around us - and the jerks were a couple rows in front and behind - far enough away to not let them bother us.
Calling what NIN does a light show does not do it justice. It is a major production, but yet does not detract from the music. My husband is not into the music, but he enjoyed the show because of it.
I did not enjoy the opening act so much. I never even got their name. Does anyone know who it was?
We saw Springsteen last night in Nashville. I liked NIN more. Did not think it would turn out that way.

Does it offend you, yeah?
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
Butthead: Huh huh.
No I don't think they were on the tour yet - I think it was A Place to Bury Strangers. I saw Does it Offend You Yeah at Lolla and they were pretty good.

I checked out a review and it was "A Place to Bury Strangers."
I did not like the music and the strobe light at the end was excessive - it went on and on and on and on. I was starting to get dizzy. I wondered how many epileptic seizures they started. Maybe I'm just old.
As to NIN I would like to say again how much I enjoyed the show. My first NIN show and I thought it was great even if Trent had a really bad day.

I told PBW that you went to a NIN concert...we would have never pegged you as a Trent fan. That sounds offensive and I don't mean it that way. I don't want to stereotype fans of musical groups...just didn't realize you connected with NIN. Thumbs up to you and Butch.
Also, picking NIN over a Bruce show...that's a bold statement...must have been a stellar concert.

I feel kinda guilty picking NIN over Bruce. I still don't know why. I saw Bruce in '78 and '79 as a young college student and it was almost a religious experience. I quit listening to him in mid 80's, but have heard snippets of the newest album and liked some of it. I really wanted B to see Bruce since he is such an icon. I guess I had too high expectations - that it would be similar to my first two experiences, but that isn't fair. I was young and hadn't been to all that many concerts. I related to his music back then, more so than today. It was a great concert, but at this point in my life I relate more to Trent's music than Bruce's. Plus, I was tired!!!! Bruce came on one hour late too, which kinda pissed me off - no explanation, no apology, just "here I am be thankful."

One last thing, then I will shut up about Bruce since this is the NIN thread. I bought a Bruce t-shirt, but did not buy a NIN shirt. The reason: The Bruce shirt says (on the front): "Tramps like us Baby we were born to run." Couldn't resist.

anybody know any rumours of when NIN are next going to be in europe? specifically the UK? need my NIN live fix again sometime soon,,
2006 - Astoria, Dublin, Leeds
2007 - London
2009 - London, Manchester, London
2010 - Dublin, Belfast, London
2011 - Alpine Valley x2
2012 - Isle of Wight, Manchester x2

My cousin, who went to the Nashville show, also drove up to St. Louis on Saturday.
The Cardinals had a day game that on Saturday that incurred a rain delay. Bruce held up the show so that Tony LaRussa could get there in time for the show to start.
A true story told to me by my cousin that may actually be an urban legend.

Sorry to derail the NIN thread...I too will stop after this:
My cousin dedicated "Born to Run" for PissBottleBoy's Cd before he was born. During the song on Thursday, he called me and played it through my cell phone while yelling, "This one's for Xavier...this is for the X-Man".
