I don't know my nephew that well. I see him a couple times a year. I took him to a PJ concert, and after that he told me that his three favorite bands were Guns and Roses, Green Day, and Pearl Jam. That was 2 years ago. He likes to snowboard/ski/skateboard [I think.] Any music suggestions? I'll probably buy him a couple CDs. During Thanksgiving I'll give them to his parents so he receives them at Christmas.

I'm buying my youngest two a ukelele each for Christmas. It doesn't cost much more than a cd, and I'm hoping to get 'em started young :D

Pick him up Rock Band or Guitar Hero (if he doesn't have one already). Hotest item for the Christmas Season.

Music, gift cards are amazing. Use to get them (still do today) and during the boxing day long weekend, will purchase so many records that go on sale at Sam The Record Man or Music World and just go nuts through the rows of CD's/DVD's like you wouldn't believe. Ah .. to be a kid again. No wait, I still do that today!!! lol.

Or hook them up with a certificate/coupons at Best Buy! Must be something there they will like. :)

I wasn't sure what to get my brother for his birthday last month (he turned 14) so I made a deal with him - when he sees something (a book, a CD, a movie) he wants I'll get it for him. :) works the same way as a gift certificate etc. I guess. :D

Well if he likes Green Day, and you are wanting to try and pick a specific cd for him rather than a gift card, I would suggest you pick up the album State Of Emergency by The Living End. They're an Australian punk/rock band in the same vein as GD, and there ain't a bad song on that record, check 'em out:

I was thinking of a gift card, but I didn't know if a gift certificate was a cop-out. It sounds like from a few posters that a gift card is the way to go. Problem solved - Yippee!

    Thank you, everyone!
