Stolen YIELD signs

Does anyone have a stolen YIELD sign in there room or house. Or just a YIELD sign? it doesn't have to be stolen. Down my block I guess a drunk idiot or a bunch of kids knocked down a YIELD sign......hmmmm. What do you think I should do?.....Take my nifty power drill and get the sign in a few seconds? Or just leave it on the ground and let the town take care of it?

    I'll pull over and pretend I have a flat tire then lean over and take the sign. I think thats sneaky....my car will block it visualy so no one will really see me.
    Hell yea, I kinda paid for it....sorta :)

    I used to think taking / knocking street sigsns down was funny when we were drunk....until 2 kids in my home town were killed because someone knocked down a stop sign and they got plowed into by a semi.

    Those signs are there for a reason. I could care less if you took it...but make an anonymous call to the city afterwards and let them know someone knocked it down.

    Totally unrelated to PJ, but when I was in college we stole the street sign that our off-campus house was on every month. There were 4 of us in the house, and every time we had a party, somebody would go steal the sign. We lost track of it. I'll never forget going to the garage to clean up the day after a party and tripping over 2 "Hope Ln" signs that pledges took at some point the night before.

    Damn I cant believe I never thought of that. I think im going to have to do that. Too bad yield signs are almost always on highways...where there are a shitload of cars.

    I have a real one, of course I didn't steal a real sign that would endanger people's lives, it was by a dumpster and then "in hiding" for a few years :) long story. But yes real ones rock.
    Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

    I agree. Take it if you want it but then make a call that it's missing so a new one is put up so no one is seriously hurt or killed.

    My friend and I took a few road signs in high school but we were smart enough not to take any signs that would cause an accident.

    I have a real one in my room. It was bought for my for xmas a few years ago. I love it. I keep it next to all my pj stuff so people understand that's y I have it and not cause I love yielding. Hahaha

    At the Voters for Choice concert in '98 in DC someone managed to get a real Yield sign into the venue, D.A.R. Constitution Hall. I remember seeing it "crowd surfing" up to the stage and Eddie grabbing it up. I think he said something about having the band sign it since whoever snuck it in must've worked hard.

    Weren't some kids convicted of manslaughter after they took down a stop sign and then some other kids didn't stop and got killed? I know it's just a yield sign, but those serve a safety purpose as well. Even if you called the city, it would still take them awhile to replace it. At the risk of sounding old and boring, I wouldn't do it. I'd feel horrible if anything happened to anyone, whether I was charged or not.

    I have one, but it's not stolen. When Yield came out I went to a listening party that a local radio station had and I won it. It has "Pearl Jam" spray painted on the front. Some girl tried to offer me $10 for it when I was leaving and I just laughed at her.

    A friend tried to get one for me years ago that he found knocked over. He couldn't get it off the pole though.. I do have a railroad sign another friend gave me. Hope nobody got hit by a train :O
