Need go running tunes. Any suggestions from songs that were released during the 80s? That decade was just sooooooo gooooood. Think MTV before Real World.

Pat Benatar's Love is a Battlefield
Don Henley's Boys of Summer

among others. What else would you recommend? Brings back good spirited-energy moments?

Gotta go with Heartbreaker for Benatar.

    Also:

Throw in some Huey Lewis from Sports...some Billy Squier and INXS off of Kick.

And, for kicks...add in some J Geils Band.

Damn straight. Also Sweat , Nothing to Fear (But Fear Itself), Not My Slave.

English Beat: Mirror in the Bathroom, Save it for Later (!), Twist & Crawl
Squeeze: Cool for Cats, Pulling Mussels From Shell
    Specials: Message to You Rudy
Psychedelic Furs: Ghost in You, Love My Way
    Yaz: Don't Go
Madness: Keep Moving, House Of Fun, Night Boat To Cairo

(speaking as a child of the 80's....)
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

Thanks for the suggestions, all. Brings back memories, and possibly will create memories.

    Most 80's music sucks,except for R.E.M. . My suggestions from the 80's R.E.M.

"Life And How To Live It"
    "Begin The Begin"
    "Get Up"
    "Pop Song 89"
    "Strange"
    "Turn You Inside Out"

    Just to name a few.

    1975 ;)
    This weekend we rock Portland
  • Joy Division.......everything by them

To run? I like Joy Division a lot, but seriously their music is more appropriate for running straight to your suicide ;). Besides, they merely made it through 1980

Hmmm, 80's music: Livin' on a Prayer - Bon Jovi, Pretty in Pink - Psichodelic Furs, Journey - Don't Stop Believing, B-52's - My Own Private Idaho...

Ahh the memories, so many lousy songs I danced as a teenager :)

So would I. Filler is the greatest hardcore track ever.

work out to Back In Black sometimes.

actually, it's my favorite 80's album and in my top ten of all time.

'Knockin' me out with those American thighs
    Taking more than her share
    Had me fighting for air
She told me to come but I was already there'
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

In my opinion and musically speaking, this is the worst decade ever...it´s ok if you like bizarre things, but it really sucked.I mean, there were cool bands, but their were the less.

  • You need some Survivor in there. Anything from a Rocky Movie will do.
    Icehouse - "Crazy"
Dead or Alive - "You Spin Me Round"
Loverboy - there are many possibilities. I suggest "Turn Me Loose" or "The Kid Is Hot Tonite."

And then you have loads of hair metal to choose from.
It is time to admit that we used to rock like hurricanes. It is time to run for the hills and go round and round. It is time for us to shout at the devil. We've got the right to choose it, there ain't no way we'll lose it, and we're not gonna take it anymore.
