I was out at a college ball last night and the DJ was playing a lot of cheesy old-skool disco from the 70s, 80s and early 90s. Blame it on the Boogie, Oh what a night, Don't you want me, Mr Vain, rhythm is a dancer are but a few of the classics that got us all jumping. Made me realise just how awesome pop music can be. All that was missing was Cotton Eye Joe You know you love it too. Lets hear it for Disco baby!

Disco is an easy target and I do think most of it is trash, but there were some great records to come out of it
old Bee Gees or Chic records to name a few
and I certainly like dancy rock ie Dismemberment Plan, Radio 4, and certain Modest Mouse songs (Tundra/Desert, Doin The Cockroach)
They certainly take a bit of cue from disco rhythyms.
When you see me on the street, yell out "FAVO!!!"
I've been to alot of Pearl Jam shows; So fucking what.
However, Cotton eye Joe makes me want to die.
i'm listening to 'off the wall' for the first time right now and it's sounding incredibly good!
disco rules btw
