I was shown some Down the other day by a friend of mine. I'm not a big metal fan and I hated Pantera so I thought it was a safe bet I wouldn't like Down either. Turns out they're actually pretty good. They have a sort of bluesy feel to them. Reminds me of AIC. Good stuff. I plan to listen to a lot more.

    DOWN III is being recorded right now, with a European tour to follow. Kick ass :D

    I just saw Down in Toronto a few days ago..They are great live..check them out if you get a chance..I can't wait for Down III

    Down aren't like Pantera at all. Stone the Crows is as fantastic song - same with Ghosts Along the Mississippi.

    If you like Down I recommend Corrosion of Conformity (love Congratulations Song) and Black Label Society (Beserkers and Bleed For Me are good places to start). Also his other side band Superjoint Ritual are kinda alright.

    Down are a really great band. They aren't like pantera. I'd dare say they are more mellow. Down II is an amazing album. I am looking forward to Down III this year.

    So I'm told. I only heard a couple of songs off Nova. The friend who showed me said I would love Down II.

    Im a huge Pantera fan and I love Down. Lifer is one of my favorites and i cant wait for Down III. Phil is one of the greatest singers of all time, when hes not wasted

    i saw Down at the Troc in Philly right after Down II came out.. second show of the tour and something like the 12th or 13th Down concert ever! this is before they did Ozzfest. amazing band.
