MMJ - 5 Songs

Alright - I gotta admit, I haven't listened to much My Morning Jacket... if I were to go drop five dollars downloading five songs - as an introductory course, what would you suggest?

I need five songs people...

you dont need to spend $$$ download this show...its free and you have 2 full cd's, its from an fm broadcast so the sound is great. after that go buy their cd's

They hardly ever play it, if ever but the version is sweet ass....

Sooner- choclolate & ice EP or the Acoustica Citsuoca EP

I think that it still moves has some of their best songs, but Z is a very cohesive and flowing album their best complete effort in my opinion. At Dawn also has some good songs, and i do not have their other full length yet. I think those 5 songs gives you a good idea of their rockin side and their softer acoustic driven side.

Well... I just downloaded the entire "It Still Moves" album, and I must say that it is growing on me and is a great, peaceful album playing in the background as I work. Pretty cool...

It still doesn't "grab" me like Drive By Truckers stuff does though... This Jim Jones guys has a pretty sweet voice.

They grew on me. I did not love them immediatly then they smacked me in the face one day and it was great.

Jim James has a good voice too

His voice actually really shines on Z.
