youtube.com - downloading

I noticed youtube.com has some awesome videos of PJ and just about any other famous band... for anyone who is familiar with this site, is it possible to download the video files from this site onto my computer?
The words you say never seem to live up to the ones inside your head...

    but youre right its a great site for anything , check out the cobain part where he talks about pj.

    u need a download accelarator..like net transport

    u also need a flash player on ur comp, or better still a file converter like 'cinema forge'

    after initially watching from youtube, scroll down and u will see the code link (video URL). copy and paste it to the ADDRESS BAR of ur BROWSER. obviously the video will play again, but this time u will see that the address bar will display a different line.

    e.g http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ly6qVTOO3js

    copy and paste this to your net transport. tweak around with it. instead of watch, type get_video. after the ?, type &video_id

    it should work

    so ull get http://www.youtube.com/get_video?&video_id=Ly6qVTOO3js

    download away.

    once its done convert it to .avi or .mpg or whatever..i personally dont like using flash players, but if u do then obviously u dont have to convert.
