Forgot to metion this when I got back from the Camdens shows......but 93.3 is by far the best radio station in the world. I am from Long island, NY. We have 92.3 k-rock they are ok but not even close to 93.3. They gave us the most detailed coverage on PEARL JAM that I have even heard in my life. Hours before the show, and after they were there play by play. Just want to say you guys in PHILLY/NJ have a great station and should support them anyway possible. Meanwhile I'll go back to my K-rock here in NY and hear EVENFLOW again.

Yeah we're lucky to have a station like MMR. There is a lot of PJ support on the station ( I think they play the most in the country?). They have guys like Matt Cord and Nick from Preston and Steve who are die-hard fans of the band. When I was first starting to get real into the band (late 90's/early 00's) I remember they used to do 20 song music marathons of PJ.

Back in 2000, I won a pair of tickets to see the show in Camden, from WMMR. It was that show, that turned me into the hardcore PJ fan that I am today. Now, I have 28 shows under my belt,,,and pray that there will be more! Pierre Robert, is by far the BEST DJ from that station. He too is a BIG PJ fan.
I never thought that such a simple "no frills" show, with just the band performing ( no laser lights,,,,no big booms from weird places), would hook me so much,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and look at me now!

Thanks WMMR and thanks PJ for all the great times.

Those of you out of the area, can get 93.3 WMMR on your computer too!

i agree! i'm gonna miss 93.3 WMMR. I went to school at UDEL and K-Rock 92.3 isn't bad here; i'm glad they brought it back, but it won't ever compare to 93.3

I love WMMR! I listen online all the time. Its the only radio station I will listen too. I live in Houston which doesn't have a rock station. We have one classic rock and a really crappy alternative station. I had never even heard Neil Young or the Ramones played on the radio till I found WMMR. Philly ppl are lucky to have a radio station with knowledgable DJs that play good music.

mmr has its good and bad, they did play the most pearl jam, until they got rid of the 10 club with matt chord. i cant stand preston and steve, terrible conversations and too many people chiming in at once. do i really care what every person on the shows candy bar preferance is or why someone would get a preston and steve tattoo? why do they need to yell out some terrible catch phrase everytime someone calls in? just plain annoying to me. 104.5 plays more pj variety (ive heard glorified g, i got shit, nothingman and youve got to hide your love away in the past few days at work) but mmr is still the biggest supporter.

UD eh? I'm surprised you got any radio reception at all in Newark. Between the prison-cell like walls in the dorms at UD, and the just generally bad radio reception in Newark (especially driving down main street), it's kind of surprising you didn't just listen to CD's all the time.

MMR rocks though. Won Borgata N1 tickets off of Matt Cord a few years back, and I've been listening to them loyally since y100 went off the air.

I just started listening to Pearl Jam because of WMMR. Nick Mcilwain is a big fan and I listen to the Preston and Steve podcast every day. Love those guys!

radio 104.5 is a great station. All 90s rock to present. Seriously they must play a different PJ song every hour. If you have not listened to it yet you will love it. Only recieved in NJ and PA.
