Love the way everybodys avoiding Stairway like the plague!

    Yeah, kind of humorous

And utterly ridiculous. It is the classic 'Better Man'/'Jeremy' , devoted fan snobbishness. Just because a song is overplayed or 'most recognised' does NOT make it a bad song.A great/classic song is a GREAT CLASSIC SONG regardless IMO.Just because I don't like 'In My Tree' very much(multi gasps and no doubt imminent keyboard villification)doesn't make me an any less worthy PJ fan.
Not thrown out there as hate because someone leaves off their list....if I had to chose ten Led Zepp songs to listen....and 10 only....it would be these 10....simply because I like them better...not because it is cool to dismiss another song. As a great song, Stairway is probably more deserving of that title than the songs on my list....I am just fonder of the ones on my list.
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.

Hot Dog is terrible but other than that, i love everything that zeppelin put out. In my top 10 i didnt even include Since I've been Loving You, Kashmir, Rock and Roll, Hey Hey What Can I Do, Trampled Underfoot, Whole Lotta Love - says it all really, could make several top 10s and not run out!

    Great lists all...

Here's mine, also in no particular order....

    Stairway
    Going To California
    Tangerine
    Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You
    Dazed & Confused
    The Rain Song
    Kashmir
    In My Time Of Dying
    Thank You
    Since I've Been Loving You

    A couple runner-ups would be:

    Friends
    The Battle of Evermore
Over the Hills and Far Away
    Nobody's Fault But Mine

    And ummm, That's The Way

Sigh really hard to pick just 10 :(

    Mojo
"A consistently good band works all the different elements well. A song has to appeal sentimentally, intellectually, physically, viscerally, and dig deep down into your soul and suck you into it. And after that, of course, it'd be a matter of taste." ~ Kim Thayil from Soundgarden
  • How do I pick 10?

    1.Dyer Maker
    2.The Rover
    3.Fool In The Rain
4.Over The Hills and Far Away
    5.Down By The Seaside
    6.Royal Orleans
    7.Achilles Last Stand
    8.Carouselambra
    9.Bron-yr-aur
    10.No Quarter

    Oh, That's how.
