White Stripes at Irving Plaza (NYC) TUESDAY?!

I just got an email from Live Nation basically stating that the White Stripes are playing a secret show the day of their new album release at Irving Plaza in NYC. The only way to get tickets is if you go to the venue, you can't call the box office, or go through ticketmaster. They didn't clearly say if the tickets are already available at the box office at Irving or if they are only available the day of the show.

I already have tickets to see them play at Madison Square Garden on July 24th, but I would KILL to see them play at Irving Plaza, one of my favorite NYC venues (even after the fillmore bought them out), along with the Beacon and MSG. I saw Cornell there back in April, AMAZING.

    my friend sent me a more detailed explanation of the ticketing process for this show. i'll see if i can find it. i know it did say that you have to enter the venue immediately after picking up your tickets.

    ummmm...they went on sale this morning at 10am, but live nation made/makes no mention of it.
