Ok, here is the deal:

A friend of mine asked me to download this album for her about 5 months ago and i did it so.
But the fact is, since i haven't erase it yet, everytime i open my p2p software (Soulseek) somebody starts uploading it from me. I'm not kidding, if my home computer stays more than 1 hour logged in, somebody will upload it.

So all of this just to ask if this album holds its 'hype'.

Have you guys listen to it? Is it good? I just listen to it once and i found it ok, nothing great, nothing bad.

And do you have any 'files' that people always upload from you? (porn doesn't count...)

I think it's a real cool record for sure don't know if it's as good as "they" say,I mean it's not born to run but it is a solid album, and I noticed that the performance of Mad Season and the PJ MTV unplugged are always being uploaded

It's a great, great album. I love Ladysmith Black Mambazo actually (collaborative artists on that album), and songs like Diamonds on the Soles of her Shoes, Homeless, and You Can Call me Al never cease to put a smile on my face. Believe the hype.

This is an excellent album to listen to--especially on vinyl.

Paul Simon has had some clunkers in recent years, but Graceland is a fabulous piece of work.

    Give it a try.

fantastic record. Not too heavy and not too light - most of the songs have a nice groove to them that keeps your foot tapping. I love this album. Second only to Purple Rain as the best album of the 80's for me.

I like all those same ones too!--and Graceland. The harmonial ones w/ that Ladysmith Black Mambazo are sooooo peaceful. :)

I also like Simon's Rhythm of the Saints album w/ The Obvious Child and Born at the Right Time.

Down among the reeds and rushes
    A baby boy was found
His eyes as clear as centuries
    His silky hair was brown

    Never been lonely
    Never been lied to
Never had to scuffle in fear
    Nothing denied to
    Born at the instant
    The church bells chime
    And the whole world whispering
    Born at the right time

Me and my buddies we are travelling people
We like to go down to restaurant row
    Spend those Euro-dollars
All the way from Washington to Tokyo
I see them in the airport lounge
    Upon their mother's breast
They follow me with open eyes
    Their uninvited guest

    Never been lonely
    Never been lied to
Never had to scuffle in fear
    Nothing denied to
    Born at the instant
    The church bells chime
    And the whole world whispering
    Born at the right time

Too many people on the bus from the airport
Too many holes in the crust of the earth
    The planet groans
Every time it registers another birth

But among the reeds and rushes
    A baby girl was found
Her eyes as clear as centuries
    Her silky hair was brown

    Never been lonely
    Never been lied to
Never had to scuffle in fear
    Nothing denied to
    Born at the instant
    The church bells chime
    And the whole world whispering
    Born at the right time
