Has anyone else everheard of Rilo Kiley? This band is really great. The chick singer just has this voice that is so beautiful. Also one of the members used to be in the Nickelodeon show "Salute Your Shorts".
If anyone knows which character he was in the show let me know. I'm still trying to find that out.

Also, you should listen to Jenny's solo album "Rabbit Fur Coat." It's pretty folky, but the harmonies she makes with the Watson Twins are beautiful.
Much love for RK!!
Rabbit Fur Coat is a great album, one of my favorites of the year so far. Rise Up With Fists!!! is probably my favorite track. Jennys got a great voice, and those harmonies are beautiful.

Frontwoman Jenny Lewis and crew prep follow up to 2004's More Adventurous for August release.
Rilo Kiley's Jenny Lewis
It appears Jenny Lewis has grown weary of collaborating with a cast of the genre's finest, including cameos on Bright Eyes' latest and Dntel's Dumb Luck. Hence Under the Blacklight, the fourth album from the "Pioneer Woman" and her musical cronies -- singer/guitarist Blake Sennett, drummer Jason Boesel, and bassist Pierre de Reeder -- under the Rilo Kiley moniker, is set to drop Aug. 21 in the U.S. via Warner Bros. As the follow up to 2004's More Adventurous, the new album was recorded in fall and winter of 2006 at Los Angeles' Sunset Studios with the help of producers Jason Lader (Gwen Stefani, Jay-Z, VietNam) and Mike Elizondo (Dr. Dre, Eminem, 50 Cent, Fiona Apple) and includes track titles like "Money Maker," "Silver Lining, "The Angels Hung Around," and "Breaking Up."
Under the Blacklight tracklisting:
1. "Silver Lining"
2. "Close Call"
3. "The Moneymaker"
4. "Breakin' Up"
5. "Under the Blacklight"
6. "Dreamworld"
7. "Dejalo"
8. "15"
9. "Smoke Detector"
10. "The Angels Hung Around"
11. "Give a Little Love"

also if you can stand listening to interviews with porn stars after about 9 minutes you can watch the video for "moneymaker"......:)

See These Bones
I read a couple other posts about this album and how much of a dissapointment it was. I can't compare it to their older albums because this is the only album I own. But, to a set of new Rilo Kiley ears, this album is great.
I love them on record, but I tell you... hearing Jenny's voice live is really amazing. I think they are a great band (although I think Pierre (bassist) is a better guitar player than Blake Sennett). They also have a great fan base... mostly chicks... young chicks... really young chicks... really young cute chicks... all about half my height (I felt like fricken' Kareem in that crowd). At Santa Monica... I started out at second from the rail and ended up about 8 back because I kept letting the tiny cute, young girls in front of me... plus, as a bonus, two of them were tiny cute young Latina lesbians. Once I got to the point where some dude was standing behind me... sorry, bud... only tiny cute young girls allowed.
Anyway... back to the music... when asked about Rilo Kiley, i tell my friends (who are all stuck in the 70s) that they sound like a cross between the Blondie of 1977 mixed with the Pixies... like if the Deborah Harry from 1977 fronted the Pixies or if Black Francis wrote all of the music for Blondie. My friends usually don't get that because they have no idea what the Pixies sound like, so I just tell them they sound like the Stevie Nicks Fleetwood Mac... if the Stevie Nicks Fleetwood Mac was a punk rock band. Rilo Kiley has great lyrics, great little pop hooks and the sultry sensuality of Jenny Lewis' voice. This is a great little band... and they are all really nice people... although, they don't seem to like getting their pictures taken. a few of the fans asked to have pictures taken with them and they declined... although, you could tell they felt really bad for saying, 'No'.
If you get a chance to see this band... go. The next gig I'm goting to is the 'Queens Of The mother Fucking stone Age', where I'll be in a pit with a bunch of gnarly assed, ugly mother fucking dudes... pushing and shoving and acting like assholes and shit.... more like the crowd I'm used to. But, still... it was nice being Kareem for a Day.
Hail, Hail!!!
Yea that dude also was in Boy Meets World, he played Joey "The Rat" Epstein. I loved that show.
ok, at this point, you started to sound a little pervy.

it makes me wanna fart
Ug:"It's I hope we never part. Now get it right or pay the price."
I had to chunk of some serious bong resin, off the brain, to get to that info.
Yeah... I kept thinking Chris Hansen from Dateline: NBC was going to step onto the stage and ask my to have a seat and explain myself.
...
Still, I can't help myself... a cute little 20 year old is a cute little 20 year old... regardless of the the age of the guy (guys will vouch for this). And there was no way I was going to yield my space for some fricken' dude. I just think it is a nice thing to do for a gal to let her see the stage instead of staring a the back of my shirt all night. I mean, I could just be a dick and not care, right? Not my style. and I usually do this... check the person behind me to see if they can see the stage. To me... being one person back is no big deal. The thing about the Rilo Kiley gig... they were all shorter than me... and way shorter. Rilo's fan base's agerage height must be around 4'11" (and that's only because my 6'1" boney ass throws off the scale).
If it's a short guy... well, it all depends. The way I figure, he should have scoped out the terrain before walking up and standing behind a guy whos shoulder is too high for him to look over.
Hail, Hail!!!
My friend is a huge fan of theirs. His license plate says RILO KLY (or something like that).
the guitarist i remember was also in Boy Meets World as well as Salute Your Shorts. I found out that a few years ago. He played Joey "The Rat".
Overall i dig them, I only have Under the black and more adventurous though
