I ran across the Time magazine from the week of his death just the other day....he was on the cover, of course.
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.

Too bad Lennon and McCartney each brought more than twice as much music that was almost always better. I still like Georgie though.

    <~~~ listening to Something :o :( :o

I must come and pay my deepest respects to one of THE greatest muscians out there. George will forever hold a very special place in my heart--not only because of how much his music has touched my life...but because he meant a HUUUUUGE deal to my father (major understatement). Like you (and so many others BlackCorduroy) my Dad started playing a guitar as a young teenager because of George. The man was way more than a hero or idol to my father...as well as so many others. I never saw my Dad cry...until the day George left this world. I'll never forget that...feeling the impact harder than ever! Wow! My Dad just turned to me and said "You don't even understand!!! George meant so much to me...he's the reason I picked up the guitar.." Awww. I did/do understand though. George really impacted lives something fierce. A truely amazing artist and just such a great force all around. I just recently watched Magical Mystery Tour too and my Dad totally looked like him! haha. He took his complete love & admiration for George to the extreme. So yeah...I know it may sound weird but in many ways George reminds me of my Dad which makes me love, respect and miss him even more.

    ::{{{RIP GEORGE HARRISON}}}::

The mood and magic that flowed/wept outta this man's instrument was truely a gift to us all. And although he didn't write songs as much as others...when he did they absolutely SHINED. George was magic. He really did just ooze this super special something.

A father to many it seems. A huge loss in so many ways.

Your greatness/impact/influence forever lives on. :)

    º>HERE COMES THE SUN<º

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it's all right

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right

Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it's all right
    It's all right

Such a wonderful song! :) another great one...

I've got a word or two,
To say about the things that you do.
    You're telling all those lies,
About the good things that we can have if we close our eyes.

Do what you want to do,
And go where you're going to.
    Think for yourself,
'Cos I won't be there with you.

    I left you far behind,
The ruins of the life that you have in mind.
And though you still can't see,
I know your mind's made up you're gonna cause more misery

Do what you want to do,
And go where you're going to.
    Think for your self,
'Cos I won't be there with you.

    Although your mind's opaque,
Try thinking more if just for your own sake.
    The future still looks good,
And you've got time to rectify all the things that you should.

Do what you want to do,
And go where you're going to.
    Think for your self,
'Cos I won't be there with you.

Do what you want to do,
And go where you're going to.
    Think for your self,
'Cos I won't be there with you.

It's true. What a shame. On the plus side, George had a lot of songs saved up after the Beatles broke up, and thus had the best post-Beatles career by far, in my opinion. I really feel like Lennon and McCartney gave their best songs to the Beatles (except "Imagine") and their later stuff was lacking.

I love the wacked out intro to It's all to much.
One part of the verse is very similar to a song by the searchers I think.

Oh, his music was so amazing. Abbey Road was the first album I owned, when I was about 8 years old. Always loved the complexity and beauty of Beatles music--and George was so special.
    I hope he's happy somewhere.

I think the acoustic While my guitar ....., is really beuatuful. I once had my alarm clock on the radio function and it woke me up to Here comes the sun. Nothing can go wrong on a day like that.
