I picked Testify just because when I saw them in New Orleans it is what they opened up with and the crowd was jacked.

I'll agree with Testify ... RATM opened with it at Coachella in 2007, and the place EXPLODED!

Arcade Fire - Neighborhood #2 (Laika) ... it's not jsut the crowd, but the band goes nuts too, climbing shit, beating on each other ... it's awesome.

Sheila Divine - Hum (best crowd sing along, ever)

Morrissey - Irish Blood, English Heart

    stellastarr* - Jenny

    Bloc Party - Helicopter

and based on the last PJ show I went to in June .... Satan's Bed!

I think Enter Sandman and Master of Puppets could be added.

Master of Puppets, I'll buy ... but Enter Sandman? Really?

I'd think any song off Kill 'em All would garner a much bigger frenzy than Enter Sandman ...

Note, I have not seen Metallica since the Black album tour ... so, you may be spot on. I just have a tough time seeing it.

Horse to Water when I saw R.E.M. was pretty nuts. Granted, it felt like we had an unusually young crowd that evening, or maybe it was just where I was sitting.

I have a two way tie for this.
U2-Where the Streets Have No Name. I have never felt more connected or in unison with others at a show than when the first crescendo of this song hits and the entire arena is lit up with all the house lights on and everyone just going insane. Feels like a religious experience and this is from an atheist since the age of 4 or so. Literally looks and feels like you are in the middle of a huge ocean.

Guns N Roses-Welcome to the Jungle 1991. When the drums kicked into the song, every single person in the sold out arena was on top of their chairs and JUMPING up and down on top of the chairs. It was nuts, security was running up and down the aisles in a futile attempt to get people down; they gave up by the time the first chorus hit. The building felt like it was shaking so hard that it would come apart. To this day and hundreds of shows later, I have never been to a more raucous (but well behaved surprisingly), raunchy, just balls to the walls rock show.

As a fan since the "Metal up your ass" days for me personally I get a bigger thrill as part of an audience during Sandman. The whole audience knows it and goes friggin insane as for most of the casual fans (which is the majority of ANY big selling tours) it is the song that got them into the band. It is their "Stairway" Half the crowd doesn’t even own Kill em all let alone know the songs on it. I am not talking what song I personally would be happiest hearing or what would make me drop my jaw, but for total crown frenzy, Sandman has been that song since the Black album was released.

Arcade Fire - Neighbourhood #2 (Laika) & No Cars Go
    Mogwai - Christmas Steps

....while hearing these songs live I was actually afraid the music might cause the venue to collapse
In my world everyone is a pony,
and they all eat rainbows and pooh butterflies!
