Does anyone here like them. I have been listening to them nonstop of late. Can't wait for their new album, Ten Silver Drops. Im seeing them this March at the Laguerdo Festival. I saw them last August with Kings of Leon and they were incredible.

They are good. I listened to their album nonstop for about 2 months...then hit the wall with it. either I absorbed everything there was to learn about the album, or I just burned out on 'em.

Their drummer plays a HUGE kick...looks like a marching drum...lol.

Did you go to the show at the Tabernacle in Atlanta? I was there too. That was my second time seeing them. It was a cool show they are a good band.

John Garza does kick a lot of ass on the drums.

  • I saw them open for Kings of Leon also, one of the best lineups I've seen. They put on one hell of a light show, and sound amazing.

Have you guys heard the new single? 'Alone, Jealous, Stoned'

They just announced the Secret Machines will be opening U2's concerts at Mexico... now, I don't really give a damn to see a U2 concert these days, but now that I knew the Secret Machines will be openin I'd really wish I had a ticket just to see them... even more after all these comments about how good they are live.

  • Umm, the stoned part would be part of a perfect weekend. I don't know about the alone and jealous parts. But fuck I've been in that situation many a times. But I fucking love the song. Two thumbs up.

Dunno, I just heard it on the radio, is a long track, like around 7 minutes, and it gets particularly interesting after a change they do more or less at the middle of the song. Worth looking for it.

  • i'm looking forward to the new album...
alone, jealous and stoned soundtracked january for me... it's cool to have a song that describes your life perfectly - not so cool if it's called "alone, jealous and stoned", i guess :D
but seriously, i'm wondering how the album will sound like because the single is a departure from their signature sound... it's brave to release a less psychedelic more pop oriented single and then make it 7 minutes long... this song is so catchy...

  • The new album, eh, it is not nearly as good as the debut. But After a couple of listens it gets better.

  • Icarus, what do you think of it?

  • You are correct. Daddy's In The Doldrums is very cool, I can honestly say that.
