recommend me some music

hey everyone.

I need to get some new records by some new bands....lemme know what you think about:

Silver Jews - which record should I pick up by them? I heard malkmus plays guitar....

I hear mountain goats are good....any suggestions?

I also need to pick up some Afghan Whigs....

    I just downloaded it and it's really good. It's beautiful.

    yeah thanks for the link. i'm too lazy to utilize the search function. Hell, i probably posted in that thread now that i think about it.....

    I'm a huge fan of the Silver Jews and American Water is easily their best album

    if you're a fan of songwriting you'll love them but if you're buying the album hoping malkmus is a prominent person in the band you should stick with pavement and the jicks.
