Ten Club Tickets Wedding Gift

My brother wants to give me his ten club tickets to me and my (future) wife as a wedding present. He has a much better number than me and can't make the show anyway.

I told him I didn't think this was possible, that he'd have to be at the show with me to pick up the tickets. He thinks there is a way.

Who's right? Is there anyway to transfer the name?

    I would say get him to e-mail 10C. See what they have to say.

    do you look similar enough to use his id? I don't think they are spending a whole lot of time matching id photos with the person on the other side of the window.

    Haha. I don't think you'd find many brothers who look LESS alike.

    Yea, I thought it was a great idea. He said it would be the most meaningful thing he could give us.

    Wedding is April 19th. Coming up soon.

    You can transfer after you buy them. I did this for a show in 06. I didnt buy tickets from 10c, found out I was able to go to a show that someone coudnt make it to on this board, we both contacted 10c they sent me an email confirming that they were my tickets now. got to the venue and the tickets were in the other persons # but under my name.

    yeah you were allowed to do that in 06 but i dont think so now, it clearly states in the announcement NO Transfers, but id email ten club, given the situation i think theyll make an exception, theyre pretty good like that.
    {if (work != 0) {
    work = work + 1;
    sleep = sleep - work * 10;}
    else if (work >= 0) {
    reality.equals(false);
    work = work +1;
    }system("pause");
    return 0;}

    Every tour for years now has had the NO TRANSFER dicslaimer. They seem serious, and respond to a couple posts about it with "read the rules, NO TRANSFERS." Yet somehow, each tour, someone is able to tweak something due to some catastrophe or something. I am not complaining-a little flexibilty goes a long way. Just recalling what I've seen here.

    But, I would take a different course of action. Have him buy them, concoct some heartwrenching sob story about why he can't make it. And, wait, whaddya know? My bro just got married and he could use them! If they (10C) are hesistant, rest assured, you, also being a 10C member, will fully appreciate the opportunity to attend said PJ show.

    Kind of like the calling in sick conundrum. I know I'll be out on this day. Now do I tell them ahead and risk being told I HAVE to be here, or do I call in the morning of and leave no other option on the table?

  • Licenses are lasting, what 7 years now? Everyone looks diff. from when their pic was taken. They are not gonna be able to tell it's not him when you give them your ID. The asshats behind the window (who aren't 10Club affiliated, at least last tour they weren't), don't really give a rats ass who they're giving the tix too. They will prolly just look at the last name & grab your tix like they did in 06. Trust me, they weren't checking faces. I saw some people say their last name & they went right into the lovely stack of tix & just grabbed em, they weren't checking shit. (Assuming you have the same last name, I'd say you'll be just fine.) :)

    So far as I've heard, when they allow transfers, the tickets then are allocated according to the recipient's number. So if your brother's 100xxx and your's is 400xxx if he buys them and transfers them to you they become 400xxx tickets. But hey, with this random draw, you never know where you could end up!
