Buckethead

I am just listening to Crime Slunk Scene again and WOW.

Buckethead has to be one of the most gifted muscians around. He has been accussed by some people of being able to play fast but with no emotion. I think you need to relisten. Tracks like King James, The Fairy and The devil and Soothslayer really demonstrate his talent and thats just from css.

His work with Praxis is also jaw dropping.

Any other Fans of Buckethead out there?

I just can't get past that god damned bucket on his head.

It's not funny, or cool, or even interesting.

I gotta wonder about anyone that would think that idea was a keeper. I mean its his fucking trademark. What a douche!
"Stunned by my own reflection, It's looking back, sees me too clearly and I swore I'd never go there again, Not unlike a friend that politely drags you down, down, down"

When you see me on the street, yell out "FAVO!!!"

I've been to alot of Pearl Jam shows; So fucking what.

What would you say is his best album if someone was interested? (I've mainly listened to clips on itunes, but it made me want to hear more)
    R.i.p. Rigoberto Alpizar.

Buckethead kicks arse. as guitar hero 2 says at the beginning of one of his songs that he wrote specifically for the game, "wearing a bucket on your head will not make you play this song better."
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

IMO, Monsters and Robots. Claypool and Brain play on it, so you get a lot of Primus feel with out of this world guitar playing.

I saw buckethead twice, once with Praxis and with CCbbb. The CCBBB's show was very jammy les claypool and bernie Worrell are nuts. Buckethead played the intro to the Star war's movie's in his solo. Simply amazing! Praxis are just ok imoa they didn't do it for me live.

Buckethead is the best guitarist I've ever seen. Watch this shit and you'll see just how killer the Big B is.

i saw BH play at Wakarusa in 2005. fantastic guitar playing, but the bucket definitely spoils the visual. i also wondered how hot it got inside that damn bucket because it was a hot and humid evening in june. that fuck must have some sort of ventilator or somesuch, jeez
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

Buckethead had a sense of homour and the image has stayed past a joke. It makes it interesting and was probably used to cover up his shyness.

It start with Colma. Buckethead covers alot of genres with his music but Colma is what got me into him.

    Whitewash in a beautiful song.
