I don't see how people could call Oasis a Beatles rip-off. Liam's voice sounds a little like John's and George's...but the similarities between the bands end there.

They do have great melodies like The Beatles as well...........but the Oasis sound is very distinguishable. Oppie1 has only heard Wonderwall and heard that there was a backlash against Oasis in the late 90's so he decided to join the crowd of Oasis-haters that are not actually familiar with their music.

That opinion really loses its importance when the people with it also listen to Three Days Grace, Puddle Of Mudd, and Chevelle.

i don't want to get involved in your little bickering battle with pjoasis but you're going a little too far with the oasis bashing. they were not a band to rip off the beatles. they were a band made up of guys who loved the beatles and so their music was heavily influenced by them. almost every band out there in some way or another rips off another band, for some bands it just happens to be a little more obvious who they are stealing from. maybe you don't know dick about music.

I actually have one of their cds, when i went through a crappy music phase. I still do like "Bring me Down" and "Blurry" however. The former has a Nirvana vibe to it. That bein said, i wont be buyin any albums of theirs in the future.
