In 1999 Silverchair played at the Lowlands festival in the Netherlands.

At some moment Daniel said "Good afternoon" in the German language...and the crowd responded with a huge boo...

At least Eddie knows in which country he's playing :)

I've also seen 3 Doors Down once at a festival (I don't like their music now) but I've watched them like 10-15 minutes and the whole time both guitars were out of tune...what a crappy band!

What are yours?

I always hate it whenever the band invites an audience member up on stage to play instruments or whatever. It's getting old. Last two times I saw U2 they invited someone up on stage to play something or some part of a song, and they fucked it up.

The only time I've seen it work is when I saw Green Day. They asked the crowd if anyone could play "No Pride" on acoustic guitar, this kid came up and he did a good job. Billie Joe says afterwards, "Go to the side of the stage, you're gonna watch the show from there. And get him a beer!"
"As long as the music's loud enough, we won't hear the world falling apart."—Jubilee

Bjork playing for only an hour and 10 mins @ Radio City wed night.
    (Including 1 song encore)

I love her, she's brilliant, but to not play longer was ridiculous

Couple of years ago at the oxegen festival held in Meath (close to Dublin) Bloc Party were playing. The lead singer said something along the lies of "It's great to be back in Britain"
Needless to say that didn't go down well with the Irish crowd. Particularly stupid of him considering he is actually English. He should know when he's in his own country.
