They were popular until they admitted that they sampled a Rolling Stones song on their disc. It's a great disc tho and well worth the listen.

I haven't heard if they've done anything since then.... have they?
  • Richard Ashcroft is putting out solo albums now. I thought the first was excellent and the second has yet to grow on me. A couple of the other guys formed a new band (but I can't recall the name).
Rock over London... Rock on Chicago... I love what you do for me Toyota - Wesley Willis
  • my whole life for the last two years has been dedicated to excreting verve songs with me myself and the acoustic at every bbq, party, gig and whatever, any excuse, they were amazing and i wish they would reform. urban hymns and a northern soul i highly recomended!:)

To break down borders and realise that we are one species and then the true patriotism comes from pride and love of the human race, not from the tribes of which we currently are divided, open your eyes your mind will see! - ME
  • I need to expand my Verve collection. I only have Urban Hymns (which I can't get enough of), so I guess someone said Northern Soul is just as good, so I will probably get that one next!
We need Pearl Jam in Atlanta!!! 2006-2007

The dirty south needs a fix.
