Metal Machine Music - Its not totally unlistenable!

So I listened to this Lou Reed album the other day and I came to the conclusion that it is not as "bad" as people say it is. Sure, I wouldn't put this on to go driving, but there are times when I can see myself listen to it again. Anyone else listen to this?

    It's not even remotely harsh noise. There's a shit load of enjoyable ambience in there amongst the distortion. I was shocked when I listened to it that it had such a reputation because I came to it after listening to Merzbow and Sutcliffe Jugend and other Power Electronics stuff. MMM has a bad reputation and it's undeserved. A totally listenable album.
