Today was the first time I intentionally listened to a PJ song in like 3 months. I need to do that every now and then. I played Let me sleep on the juke box and before I knew it, I had $10 in there for the rearviewmirror disc!! I'm back....

  • I take breaks from PJ. All last weekend I listened to no Pearl Jam. Then on Monday I busted out the Vs. vinyl and let it rip! :D

It helps me a appreciate the band more.

Also I really don't ever want to get tired of PJ like I did Nirvana. I know PJ is WAY better than them, but I'm afraid it might happen.

  • Holy Crap! I really thought I was the only person who can't go a day without PJ...I thought I was wacked out and in need of real therapy. I have tried! I turn only the car radio on and instantly my hand goes right for the ipod, but I stop, hand shaking I try to tune in another station (hopefully 'Jeremy, Alive, Evenflow, Betterman or Elderly Woman' will be playing---those are the only songs they play round here) and I can listen by pure chance. That doesn't count, right? I didn't put it on myself, so it's ok to listen. But alas, after three songs not Pearl Jam, I'm begin to get moody, angry even, and start to rock back and forth in the driver's seat...then BAM! I'm shufflin the ipod without even realizing it. But as the guitar begins to strum, and the baritone begins to wail, I am again at ease and all is right with the world.

Is there a therapist in the room?

But YOU! Three months? you must not have been a nice person to be around...may I ask what you DID listen to?

WTF? Juke box?? How did you manage to travel back in time to 1963?

Time to invest in an ipod.

I was worried that by listening to too much Pearl Jam, that I would get tired of it, but I could listen to every boot I own and by the time I am done, the first one sounds brand new again. This band never gets old for me.

I agree. I haven't even listened to all the boots I have yet and never get tired of them. I do listen to other stuff too, but I mostly just enjoy PJ. :)

I try playing other music to give myself a break, but after a few songs always come back to PJ - with so many songs over so many years, I've not yet gotten tired of them.
