Who would have thought that I would someday
have the chance to play Lollapalooza? Certainly not I.
Hell, I never imagined I would even attend.
But I guess life can be crazy and awesome sometimes,
because, well...I now actually have the chance to play it!
My name is Matt, and I play in a band called Northpilot.

I have been frequenting this board for years,
and today, I am asking for your help.
We've been competing in the Last Band Standing contest,
and we've made it through two rounds - one purely based on
votes generated by friends and family, and the other based on
the opinions of a panel of celebrity and industry judges.
Long story short, we have been selected to move on to round
three, as one of only 20 bands remaining in the competition!
We have until July 20 to generate as many votes as possible.
At that point, if we're in the top 5, we play a show at the
Chicago venue, Double Door.
2 bands are chosen after the show to PLAY LOLLAPALOOZA!
Very exciting stuff.
So, from one diehard pearl jam fan to all of you,
I ask that you please take a moment to follow the link,

yeah, i have nothing against canada.
but only because they welcomed me with open arms at the ripe age of 19 to come across the border, get wasted, and gamble.
