i'll just preface by saying this: not all rap/hip hop is bad. sure, a lot of it is, but there is shitty rock and roll out there too. if you don't like rap, don't post here. i don't care about your personal views about how bad rap is. don't post here. plain and simple. this thread is for those of us who can appreciate the wu tang clan.

anyway, who else here loves wu tang clan and their individual discs? i think that enter the wu: 36 chambers (wu tang clan), liquid swords (gza), only built 4 cuban linx (raekwon), tical (method man), and tical 2000: judgement day (method man) are among the finest hip hop cds ever made. all of them are probably in my top 10 lists for their particular genre, and top 25 out of any genre. the way their lyrics talk about the lifestyle of drug dealing (both good and bad), and the way the rza's beats capture the feel of new york city, and the diversity each one brings to the group is nothing short of amazing.

show some wu tang love!

right here. i got love for them all.
chessboxin' is one of the greatest rap songs of all time. and 36 chambers is in my top 10 albums of all time.
    rip odb.
  • I can't go past 'The W'. Was the first album I heard & played it over and over in my car for months.
  • I just listened to 'Dashing', that's a good song. I've been jamming to Iron Flag lately, it is pretty decent.

And Duck Seazon from Forever is a good one.

  • Enter the 36 Chambers might be the best rap album ever. Right up there with It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back by Public Enemy and the Low End Theory by Tribe Called Quest.

I'll see Clapton in March, then the B-Boys are #1 on my list of bands I still need to see. Rumors of new material next year have been floating around, so a tour could be in the near future. Awesome I Fuckin Shot That is the single best concert DVD I've ever seen.

same! I also like public enemy.
  • I bomb atomically, socrates, philosophys and hypotheses, can define why I be droppin' these mockeries, lyrically perform armed robberies, flee with the lottery possibly they shot at me...

Quality Tang song, I also like the one in Don't be a Menace to South Central while drinkin' your juice in the Hood. Cant remeber what its called though... it goes:

Yes the shit is raw comin' at ur door you start to scream out loud Wu-Tang's back for more...
no additives, preservatives, or artificial colouring
  • 36 chambers best rap album ever, prolly top 20 ever album ever
    the W is real good
liquid swords, supreme clientele, and the first two ODB albums are the best solos.

reunited and triumph are the best rap songs ever. ever. ever.
