I saw Nirvana/Breeders/Half Japanese on 11/10/93 in Springfield, MA. It was a very good show. I'd been a Nirvana fan since I heard "Sliver" and was excited to finally see them.
I was at this show & it blew my mind. 1st time I crowd surfed, and stupidly got up against the rail on the right in front of the speakers & was about 15' away from Novoselic. (I'm not convinced this isn't why I have problems w/ hearing in my right ear specifically)
Highlights for me were Radio Friendly Unit Shifter & Scentless Apprentice... I recall being psyched they played SMLTS as Kurt supposedly only played it if he was enjoying the crowd or the show or something to that effect.
Toronto '93. I was 11 and my aunt took me. I wasn't even much of a fan, but she knew I'd come to appreciate it when I got older. The show was a little much for me at the time (loud, intense, etc, and they didn't even play SLTS!) but I'm glad I can say I was there. If was 18 at the time I'd be writing an essay right now about how amazing it was.

wow...good stuff
They weren't on my radar at all other than SLTS videos on MTV...which meant that I didn't find them worthy (like PJ at the time) because if MTV liked them they must not be any good (in my closed mind)
It wasn't until after Cobain died that I started to dive in deeper. Their first album is still my favorite. Some of the best music to come out of that era in my opinion.

I saw them twice (three times if you count the 1992 MTV awards)....first time was in 1991 as the middle act on the RHCP/PJ tour. Second time was headlining on their arena tour.....1993 I think.
I never saw them live, but they played Tallahassee, FL when I lived there as a kid. I can remember it being a big deal because the protesters outside made the news the next day. The whole show is on Youtube.

I was in Hawaii waaaay back when and went to a tiny club to see Fishbone. A few days after that, Smashing Pumpkins were gonna play, and days after that Nirvana was scheduled. I really should have postponed my flight home.
