  • God Damnit!!!

I mean, just because Audioslave isn't mentioned on Page 1 of the "Other Music" forum doesn't mean that there couldn't be a million other threads on page 2. I'm usually very calm and leniant about asking people to use the search function, but this is getting to be pretty ri-god-damned-diculous

no disrespect to you at all man, but this forum is starting to sound like a broken record

I agree. I'm not one to get angry about thread repetition, but this is ridiculous. And none of them have anything original to say. It's all just "hey, this is great, what do you think?"

I know, I know... if I don't like it, I shouldn't read it. Yeah, yeah.

  • Yes, I agree. Awesome album. Amazing. I don't care what anyone else on this forum says. It's so good.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

  • I'm thinking someone should go through and bump all the Audioslave threads just so everyone can see the threads that relate to either: a) Audioslave b) Temple of the Dog c) Chris Cornell

I did that the other day, I had 14 threads on the front page, and I only went back to page 6, as I keep saying in them there should be an Audioslave/Cornell sub-forum.:)

Interesting. I thought that was the worst song on the album. I mean how many times do you need to say 'Jewel of the Summertime'?

On another note. Which member of this forum do you think this is? :D

Shit. I didn't realize it was already out. I guess the album is better than Original Fire would suggest, huh?

    wide awakes chorus is killer
  • Interesting. I thought that was the worst song on the album. I mean how many times do you need to say 'Jewel of the Summertime'?

Did you never listen to Soundgarden, especially Superunknown? All Cornell does is repeat 2/3 words for most choruses, lol.
  • I was wondering if it sounds a little more like rage or if it is basically the same style as the earlier cds. I read somewhere that it would be more political. I am kind of hoping that means more of a rage sound.
  • I'd say 2 of the songs seem to be about New Orleans, but apart from that it's not very political at all, at least not in my eyes. It sounds like Audioslave, not Rage or Soundgarden. I wish people would get over RATM...Tom, Tim and Brad certainly have.
  • Thanks, I loved Rage and mistakenly bought the first couple of Audioslave cds. I just can't get into their music. I am glad that the rage boys are still having success and have moved on. I will just stick with my rage cds. Nothing wrong with Audioslave, they are just not my cup of tea.

Ive just heard this album, and after the first listen i think its their best. It usually takes me a while to get into an album, but i liked this straight away. I wasnt particularly impressed with the last album, but this sounds great. Cant wait to hear it again.

Yawnfest. I wish they'd get on with whatever comes after Audioslave in their careers. The same old sounds trotted out yet again. I remember when cornell said that he didn't want to be in a band that made the same album over and over again (I think it was a shot at Aerosmith back in the SG days). Well, I guess he didn't get the memo, because that's exactly what he's done on these three Audioslave albums.

I really wanted to like this band, but they've got nothing for me...with the exception of Moth and Little Dandilion.

If you gave me all three of their albums, I could probably make one good one out of it. So they're not a total loss, just a total disappointment.

I consider myself fairly pro-audioslave but i agree with this statement for the most part.

I've actually considered doing it but i'm low on cd-r's.

Meh, it's alright. It's definitely missing heart and soul to it though. 90% is just poppy and... dare I say it... Nickelback-like. I like Audioslave, and the first album was kick-ass, but it's been downhill from there.
