Does anyone PERFER Audioslave to Soundgarden.

Note the word perfer so it's not about which band is better as we all have our own opinions. for me though, it's Audioslave. Soundgarden was great but I was (and still am) SO INTO Morello, Tim, and Wilk, They completely have a rock sound all their own. Some haters try to dismiss Morello as a distortion obsessed hack or something but I think he's the man. I almost flipped my lid when I heard that they had given up trying to replace Zach (B-Real from Cypress was a canidate) and decided to become a straight forward rock band with our generation's Robert Plant (Cornell). I liked the first Audioslave record and (at least to me) they've gotten better with every subsuquent album.
Audioslave all the way for me. but to their credit, Soundgarden remains the greatest band name ever.

I always loved Soundgarden and thought that Chris' solo album was amazing really looking forwards to the next instalment.
That said I do like Audioslave.

Some die just to live.
I haven't even bothered with Relevations yet. The debut was alright but Exile bored me and the reviews of the Relevations make it sound like more of same - no thanks.

Id seen them in Dublin and in Manchester on two consecutive tours and were definately the best band Ive seen live (and yes I have seen many!) until PJ in Dublin and Leeds!
Entirely bored of Audioslave. Begining to hate Tom Morrelo, and Brad Wilks is in my opinion one of the most boring drummers of all time.

I cann't say which I prefer, I guess it depends on what mood I'm in.
Love both. Love the new cd.
lol.
what he said ...
Rage was never my thing, though i did dig where they were coming from.
That being said, i really wish they'd fucking lose Morello ... guitar genius or not ...
I saw the Slave at 9:30 club when they came through here before OOExile was released ... it was a fucking amazing experience, and my buddy and i had our mouths dropped in awe at Tom's mastery of the fretboard ...
... but again, that being said, i just can not stand that intensely groove-centric bulls-on-parade style half-of-every-song-is-the-same ... and i really wish Chris would get back to a more expansive song structure ...
the new album does push closer to SG in spots but is still off by miles of what i was hoping ...
:(
If I opened it now would you not understand?
Couldn´t agree more. By the way, I have the boot of this AS concert you mentioned, it´s pretty good!
