once divided...nothing left to subtract...
some words when spoken...can't be taken back...
walks on his own...with thoughts he can't help thinking...
future's above...but in the past he's slow and sinking...
caught a bolt 'a lightnin'...cursed the day he let it go...
nothingman...
nothingman...
isn't it something?
nothingman...
she once believed...in every story he had to tell...
one day she stiffened...took the other side...
empty stares...from each corner of a shared prison cell...
one just escapes...one's left inside the well...
and he who forgets...will be destined to remember...
nothingman...
nothingman...
isn't it something?
nothingman...
oh, she don't want him...
oh, she won't feed him...after he's flown away...
oh, into the sun...ah, into the sun...
burn...burn...
nothingman...
nothingman...
isn't it something?
nothingman...
nothingman...
coulda' been something...
nothingman...
oh...ohh...ohh...

Holy Shit I can't beleive you posted that!
I just saw the Mule setlist from Holloween and saw the name but I wasn't sure if it was really that song.I'll be gettin that from Mule Tracks for sure.
The Halloween show hasn't been posted there yet. I beleive it was the first time Gov't Mule have done Nothingman. I'll be buying that show for sure.
I just bought the Seattle Showbox show(10/14/05) from muletracks. I can't say enough about that special "acoustic" show. Amazing...especially My Oh My and Loser(with Al from moe.)

I saw Ed perform The Seeker at the CCFA benefit at the Showbox in 2004. Great cover indeed!
Carp Rule Sucka!
Just listened to this and the quality is good but not great,B+ imo,The version of Nothingman is great but then again I'm a big Warren fan,at least he doesn't try to sing it like Ed.

beck - do you realize? (flaming lips)

can't think of any more at the moment...
Some days you wake up and sit on a park bench next to an eighty year old Russian architect, and some days you don't. I think this is my new life philosophy.
