I know I know, I'm sorry I had to create a whole new post for this question, but I checked around and couldn't find the answer. Maybe we can keep the bashing to the 137 other cornell bashing threads. I for one have loved his shit all my life and have to at least try this new one.

    Dont do it.
  • Wikipedia says tentative date January 22nd. I'll at least listen to it, too. Just not expecting too much.

I think it's being pushed back to January 22nd, don't know why though. It's supposed to come out tomorrow.
  • I have loved everything Cornell has done too, and must, for myself, atleast give it a shot. Even though I know I'm going to hate it so much...

  • Someone on the official board says February 3.......
    Give it a shot? Naaaaah!
  • By the time this album gets released it won't be considered a "new" album anymore, but more like old news.
  • You ever have it when you're sitting on the toilet and there's just that one piece that just won't drop and you've really got to shake it loose? That's what this Timbachris album reminds me of.

Haha. They've released like 5 singles already and all of them have pretty much bombed. Even if you don't take the pissed off fans into account, the CD is pretty much a turkey on it's own terms.

CC should do us all a favor and not release the album at all.

Excellent. Thanks for making me laugh.
    And it does stink.

    It will never be released.
That's what I'm betting at this point. Damn sure hoping it won't.

What the hell? Is this the new Chinese Democracy??
I was supposed to see him last summer and he cancelled because he was supposedly putting the 'finishing touches' to the new album!

Maybe finishing touches = recording a new album and burning Scream forever???

I read somewhere that the release date has now been tentatively pushed back to February.

It's pretty damn funny... it was in March (2008) that Timbaland and CC announced the collaboration on Seacrest's crappy show. Timbaland said at the time that it was the best work of his career and that he "doesn't want to hold onto something so good" and that he wants to "get it out to the people as soon as possible". He said it would be ready for release in a matter of weeks. It seems like the release date has been steadily getting pushed back ever since.

I'm losing just as much respect for CC for pushing back the date as I am for his terrible new music. Remember he's a guy who has bashed artists who have a lot of time between album releases and said he wants to try to "release an album a year" like the Beatles and other artists used to do way back when.

It's kinda sad especially when you consider that these Scream songs are getting marketed to death. Hopefully the whole thing gets called off and CC comes out with an album full of Two Drink Minimums. He could probably make an album in a few days better than anything Timbaland could ever do.

has the whole thing even leaked yet?
  • in my toilet in about 15 min
    Tour with fucking NOFX
  • Ok if CC's intention with scream was to defenitly end with his past and all his fans he seems to be on the right way. If he thinks that Scream will make it in a top 10 position in the charts he's wrong. I just heard "Ground Zero" and it made me want to Scream and run away. ZERO !
What the hell is he planing next ? A collab with Justin timberlake or Britney Spears ?
How will his concerts look like ? Jesus christ pose with a human beatbox and some breakdancers around them ?

and I would love to hear what his old friends like eddie vedder are thinking about his new stuff...

get some money with this album...buy some houses and new cars then tell everyone that you are sorry and that you are planning to get a band together to go "back to the roots"...

Beavis: No, Eddie Vedder makes faces like this guy.
Butt-head: I heard these guys, like, came first and Pearl Jam ripped them off.
Beavis: No, Pearl Jam came first.
    Butt-head: Well, they both suck.

    1) Apparently Justine Timberlake is on the album singing backing vocals. I don't know about Britney. She must have heard the songs and declined. She had better things to do.

    2) Eddie's pretending he doesn't know anything about it. If I was EV I'd be saying 'who? Can't be him who did a duet with me on Hunger Strike?'
...'Is it?'....'No. Going to the pub...!'

Ed phoned me about it and said he'd rather listen to a CD of a train arriving at Auschwitz
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

  • Now it can't be that bad...can it?

I've got a turning off facility on this computer so I never heard the songs more than a 1/3 of the way through the first time I played them. To me, it's more like a horn from a truck going into LA than a train going to Auschwitz.
