Think before you jump at these tickets. Only go if you like his modern stuff, I saw him 2 years ago...don't expect Knockin on Heavens Door or Blowing In The Wind :D
Truthfully, I enjoyed seeing him because he is a legend, but he is also an old grouch, who doesn't say so much as "Hello everyone".
    I came, I saw, I concurred.....

I'm a huge fan of his modern stuff.....This is the first chance I've had to see him, I really don't care what he plays :D

Time Out of Mind, Oh Mercy and Love and Theft are 3 of my favourites by him.....

Plus how good are the new Tell Tale Signs discs.....?

Blowin' In The Wind isn't that rare nowadays

Hmm, I don't think I could disagree with you more.....Dylan's last 3 albums have been sublime, especially Time Out Of Mind which fights it out for my favourite Dylan album with Blonde On Blonde and John Wesly Harding....

And the new installment in the bootleg series is awesome...

  • I saw him last year in Perth and loved the concert because I was familiar with his later stuff and the style he has been playing recently, but having said that there was a lot of the crowd disappointed because it wasn't just a "Best of" concert with songs played in the original style. Even the classics that he did play were sometimes hard to recognise at first because they were played in a completely different style to the original. However I also saw him in Sydney in '78 and all the songs, old and new, were played in the style of how he was playing then not in original form (check out any bootlegs you can and you will find that the way he plays songs constantly changes).

So basically listen to his most recent albums and expect the unexpected. If you want the classics in their original form buy a "Best of" album or go to an Eagles concert. Don't expect him to interact with the audience too much (or at all) but that's Bob. If you do manage to get into it sit back and enjoy
Now I'm livin' out here on the beach,
but those seagulls are still out of reach.
