Strange comparrison I know, but Cornell's Scream is like Dylan's Empire Burlesque...

because just like Dylan was with that album, Chris is now following trends and sounds instead of setting them.....
I'm still amazed this is the same man who wrote most of Down On The Upside.....

Dylan got back on track with "Oh Mercy" after a couple other "wtf" albums, 4 years later. Can Chris redeem himself after this joke?
If Cornell writes a record like "Time Out of Mind" twelve years from now I might be able to overlook this. Once he gets over this mid-life crisis or whatever the fuck it is

That's EXACTLY what this is, one last ditch attempt to remain relevant. The irony being that if he just got on with making music, rather than whoring himself to the fickle top 40 audience, he would still be relevant to his existing fan base.
Except that Rod Stewart never managed to reclaim what he had with Faces and his early stuff.
woah, a little bit of sick just came up in my mouth.
