One of the most hypnotic songs ever?

With even a mention of Sting this song gets caught in my head for days........
Come on pilgrim you know he loves you..

Prehaps the best cut off of their last album.........
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.

The police are awesome, loved them then....need to love them again.

Showtime just had a Stewart Copeland movie on...sort of a documentary with old film from back in the day.

How ironic is it that I am listening to?:

Love the Police. If you really pay attention to Sting's lyrics you can see how twisted his mind is/was. Some of his lyrics are really distrubing, but the Police did a good job of making music around the lyrics that had a totally different vibe. You sort of forget what the words are that you are humming along too. But if you really listen to the words they can be pretty disturbing. Go check out the lyrics to "Does Everyone Stare" (most underrated Police song along with "Canary In A Coalmine"), "Can't Stand Losing You" and "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic". In a lot of their songs, the chorus is very catchy and seems innocuous enough, until you listen to the surrounding verses and realize it is all about an obsession or a dark fantasy or something along those lines. I love how their music works like that.

Yes, the first four albums really rocked.....despite the hype and the sales, I fell disappointed by that fifth and final disc......with the exception of "Wrapped...."

Wow, I full disagree. I am listening to Synchronicity right now and I think it was a GREAT final disc.

Yeah but Mother is hilarious. It's the Police's version of Bugs :)

I did not say that it was a terrible album......I feel that it does not rise up to the bar set by "Ghost In The Machine." It probably helps that I saw them live on the "Ghost" tour, but not the Synchronicity tour.

a brazilian band called 'Skank' did a fine job covering 'wrapped around your finger' in spanish for a tribute album.

More like Stupid Mop IMO. Andy's weirdest song would have to be the b side, "Friends."

WAYF is my favorite Police song of all time, coincidentally. I love the drumming on Synchronicity II.
