    essentially it means that the recording picks up what your ears would if you were sitting in the room. the mic is shaped like a human head. It's fascinating and can be used to get really increadible and unique results.

    Of the Girl is probably the most effective use of it on Binaural.

    I think incredible, fascinating, and unique are a bit of an overstatement. All thats happening is that the spacial relations of the mics are equal to that of the human ears. Some better adjectives might be, realistic, accurate, and intimate.

    the effect works great on headphones, not so well with a sound system

    No.

    Maybe late this year. Probably early next year is my guess. They work pretty slow now adays.

    The songs off binaural that were recorded this way were:

    nothing as it seems
    of the girl
    rival
    soon forget
    sleight of hand

    I think that is all i could be wrong. I think it really adds to the softer warm tracks.

    cool. just the other day i was counting on my fingers how long it had been since Hail... Though the wait has been put to good use. Ive been submerging myself in OK Computer trying to become more techno friendly in some osmosian kind of way.(see dunk i can make up words too :D ) And though The Bends is my fave, i have to say that OK is their best. It's quite superb.

    Yeah. The Bends is beautiful and with the greatest of respect, as much I love all of Radiohead's eclectic output, I really hope they write some songs this time around.

    After hearing some of the songs they debuted on last summer's mini tour, I don't think that will be a problem.

    "Bodysnatchers", "Bangers n' Mash", "Videotape" and "House of cards" are classic Radiohead IMO.

    Some great songs alright, I can't get enough of them all. Question is when will they be released? :(

    Of the girl works fine, but I never noticed it until I heard it in my ipod.

    Are they still working with Nigel? I've never known of Nigel to use the binaural technique before.
