Tom is awesome. I just wish he'd break out of his safety zone once in a while. Some of his improvised jams with Audioslave were pretty cool, without using weird noises.

gotta agree with you on this. all his solo's sound the same to me now. even my friends agree. When we heard i forget which audioslave song that was released as a single, we liked it, but the solo morelloized the song. its just too cliche of his sound. it worked great with RATM but having a more straight forward rock group that was audioslave, he needed to find a new way to make sounds.

That's kinda in the past...a sound he invented, literally. That's not something artists do too often these days.
