I thought 2007 was quite a year for concerts, but 2008 looks to be hotting up too. I am spending far too much on tickets this month when I should be spending it on pressies... here's my agenda so far... Have I missed any golden tickets?

23rd January - Henry Rollins Amsterdam
11th February - Neil Young Antwerp(not decided if I'll shell out for this yet)
19th February - Smashing Pumpkins Brussels
23rd February - Gutter twins Amsterdam
28th February - QOTSA Amsterdam
1st March - Band of Horses/Kinski Amsterdam (not sure about this one yet)
1st April - Velvet revolver Amsterdam
21st April - The Breeders Amsterdam
12th April - Presidents of the USA Utrecht
14th May - Robert Plant and Alison Krauss Amsterdam
30th May - RATM, Foo Fighters, Pink Pop(waiting to see if Rage play more dates)
1st July - Radiohead Amsterdam(Still undecided)

No. Stadsschouwburg, but it's about 100 euros a ticket, mid week, and it's tough to get back to Amsterdam after the gig. It's also uitverkocht... time for decisons cost money :(

I'm doing the pumpkins, but the cure date is in Rotterdam, and I don't like them enough to arrive home in the middle of the night and then do work the next day.

yes, maybe? But it's too much... but I think i'll change my midn and buy a ticket; I saw Neil Young 10 years ago and i'd like to see him once again. and this venue seems awesome!

I'm going to wait till nearer the time - see what I have on at work etc. It might be a last minute ebay job... I saw him around 2002 and he was seriously good, but the weather as it is just now, I can't get very excited about a long night in Antwerp waiting for the 6am train back to Amsterdam.

  • What I have so far is Radiohead, Milan and Berlin.
What I'm definitely planning to go to are Queens Of The Stone Age, Kaizers Orchestra and Portugal The Man. And maybe Alec Empire, Jane Birkin, The Cure (if I'm able to still get tickets somewhere). Definitely no Neil Young for me, I simply can't afford tickets.
Kids! Bringing about Armageddon can be dangerous. Do not attempt it in your own home.
  • Just added velvet revolver and radiohead to my resume, hoping metallica and the foos will play this summer, its looking like a decent year for concerts so far and its still only 2007 :D

i just have band of horses and the cure lined up with actual tickets in hand.

thinking about going to see liars and will most likely get drive-by truckers tickets when they go on sale.

other than that, nothing else officially on sale that has my interest. as for the eventual tour, radiohead tops the list.

as of right now i've got nothing lined up.
i'm thinking of doing some john mellencamp and hopefully another ccr. pearl jam would be a welcome show as well.

    Marilyn Manson
    Tool (another doubtful)

I just read an interview with Trent in Wired that was done on Oct. 17th and he said:
And we are planning on doing some live shows in the near future with a new band and new way of presenting Nine Inch Nails.

    So maybe!

    For me:
so far, The Cure - NYC
    Warped (for Street Dogs)
    Bamboozle (for Mindless Self Idulgence)

    and whatever else happens.
I really wish NIN would headline Lolla again. I'd go in a heartbeat.
