3 people that are in different bands of any period of time who'd you sit with to have dinner and a looong converstaion?

    oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

    maybe its because in the grand scheme of things his following is fairly limited, i.e. the majority of people might say Lennon, Dylan, Presley et al.... Layne Staley doesnt have the same cultural impact as these behemoths of music....

    it'd be like chatting to a bible salesman when you could have phoned god..

    bill hicks kinda was in a band,his stuff is recorded so does that count?!

    as for ali im screwed there,somehow get the impression he wasnt musically adept as he was in the ring!! does poetry count? he was a class poet!!

    firstly, layne had a greater impact on ME than any of these that you suggest (except dylan but he was one of my choices) and secondly chatting to john lennon instead of layne staley, just for me mind, would be like chatting to the bible salesman instead of god

    I think that'd give for a long, funny, interesting chat... if you put Morrissey instead of Cohen, man, some long discussions will take place, maybe they'd end up hitting at each other... for my admiring delight.

    I think the important thing to remember about this thread is that we were asked "If YOU could sit at one same table with 3 people..."! Therefore, everyone will have different choices as to who they'd like to sit with and it doesn't matter if anyone else likes those choices or not! :D
