There are too many people. But if I really had to narrow it down it would be

    Cobain
    Lennon
    Vedder

I would also like to talk to Hendrix, Morrison, Plant, Page, McCartney, Jagger and Richards
    32 shows and counting...

I think you've got the best there. Would be a wonderful and interesting conversation for sure.

Is it rude to make guests share chairs because if I only had 3 chairs and could invite anyone there would be much chair sharing.. ;)

cos he'd be fucked out of his face on smack ;)

nobody would be able to stir their coffee cos Staley would have stolen all the wee metal spoons...

maybe its because in the grand scheme of things his following is fairly limited, i.e. the majority of people might say Lennon, Dylan, Presley et al.... Layne Staley doesnt have the same cultural impact as these behemoths of music....

stone gossard....just to talk, he seems like a cool guy.
shirley manson....to talk about what a great female rocker she is and then to try to hook her up with AxlUlrich

firstly, layne had a greater impact on ME than any of these that you suggest (except dylan but he was one of my choices) and secondly chatting to john lennon instead of layne staley, just for me mind, would be like chatting to the bible salesman instead of god

If we're talking about musicians then it'd be

    Robert Smith
    Bruce Springsteen
    Leonard Cohen

I think that'd give for a long, funny, interesting chat... if you put Morrissey instead of Cohen, man, some long discussions will take place, maybe they'd end up hitting at each other... for my admiring delight.

But I would like to talk with some other persons more than musicians, if we don't limit it to music then it'll be...

    Georges Bataille
    Jorge Luis Borges
    William Shakespere (or Jesus?)

I think the important thing to remember about this thread is that we were asked "If YOU could sit at one same table with 3 people..."! Therefore, everyone will have different choices as to who they'd like to sit with and it doesn't matter if anyone else likes those choices or not! :D

I realised all of this from your signature... i was trying to answer your question firstly in jest, then secondly with a more thought induced response..

you asked "how come many havent said Layne?"... i was just trying to answer.. sorry :)
