anybody ever notice how the media just focuses on the personal lives they lead, rather than the music they deliver?
it seems to me the media and those following it just can't accept the simple fact that most these pop stars make crappy music.
anyway..... the whole vma and britney spears thing made me think of that.
if pop music today consisted of same talented worthy mentions like marvin gaye, stevie wonder, elvis presley (of course, there's not gonna be another elvis) but just consider pop stars of back then.... boy, my opinion of pop music today would be different.
even the 90's pop scene had better music than todays. Madonna, Michael Jackson, all these others were still making listenable music back then. compare to todays'...... eesh :eek:

I don't think people that listen to Britney, etc, are fans of music but rather fans of whatever the media put's in front of them.
Of course there's always going to be a backlash. There's always going to be something good that comes along with the crap.
