and great lyrics... above all!

ahh,
great great great memories
1997

MX

You're so sweet
Your smile
Your pussy
And your bones
You're on fire
You move me
Like music
With your style

Let me think (and you think about what?) about girls
(And what else?) and money, and new clothes
(And what do I get?) thirty nights (uh huh)
Of violence (yeah), and sugar, to love

Come here come here
closer to the lung
So I can I can
Shove her over railing

You're sweet
but I'm tired
Of proving
This love
See you're a bore
But you move me
Like a movie
That you love

Let me think (and you think about what?) about girls
(And what else?) and money, and new clothes
(And what do I get?) thirty nights (uh huh)
Of violence (yeah), and sugar, to love

Come here come here
closer to the lung
So I can I can
Shove her over railing

Let me think (and you think about what?) about girls
(And what else?) and money and new clothes
(And what do I get?) thirty nights (uh huh)
Of violence (yeah), and sugar, to love (fuckin' rock star)

Come here come here
closer to the lung
Come here come here
closer to the lung
So I can I can
Shove her over railing

I think my favorites are "lotion" and "around the fur"
the album around the fur is awesome, from the first secodn to the last.

deftones were probably the first to culminate that beauty and chaotic sound in one.... or at least they were the first i heard that from. can't decide what my favorite song is... it could easily be between mx, around the fur, bequiet and drive and rickets. i'd probably choose mx though. their poetry is great too.

    It's not that I care
    (truly)
    but you're that girl
    (with sharp teeth)
    who grabs at the walls
    (and pulls me down)
    well here's my new address
    6 6 4 oh
    I forget
    it's not like I care
    (truly)
    but you're that girl
    (with gold teeth)
    who snaps at the walls
    (and won't calm down)
    well here's my new address
    6 1 5 oh
    I forget
    there's all your evidence
now take it home run with it
    now write it down
    did you get it?
    well here's my new address
    6 6 5 oh
    I confess
    there's all your evidence
now take it home and fuck with it

  • Anniversary Of An Uninteresting Event

    No more gold lights
    for the queen earth
to keep you warm in your kingdoms
    High on the waves
    you make for us
    But not since you left
    have the waves come
    The bar is dead
    and the rocket's rain
    is keeping you wet
    in your deathbed
so high on the waves you made for us
    And not since you left
    have the waves come...
    have the waves come...

I need to get back into this band. I saw them with Incubus several years ago, and they were terrible. The sound was so bad you could not hear the music, just a bunch of distortion. That turned me off, but I think I am gonna give em another listen. Thanks.

Superb band.....some them last april, front row, intense.....

Can't wait for the new album, the more experimental the better.....

Loved how varied Saturday Night Wrist was, and so melodic.....

    i love you for that.

That's cool, I like to be loved. I only have one Deftones album, White Pony...I love it. I did go to see them on their first UK tour in 1996..I got pissed, and missed it. But out of all the modern metal bands...I think they are the best by a mile.

Easily, they have so much more range in their sound, thier not metal heads and Chino likes the Cure and The Smiths....

    New album will be great......

yeah even their rarities and b-sides have song covers from Sade, The Cure, The Smiths, Helmet, who else?

it's like they really can't be classified under one kind of sound... really. nu metal maybe.... but it would be a wrong classification to me.

They're just metal....but with loads of different elements....they can do ambient and eerie, experimental, bits of rap, hardcore.....makes good listening.....they're the only Metal band i like.....

but i still like deftones better than these guys.... it's weird. music can be confusing and misleading sometimes in a strange way.
