    that was something else.

I can think of more beautiful ones but it was lovely.
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"
  • The most beautiful song I've ever heard is Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen.

That was my thought when I read the title of this thread.
    "We're fixed good, lamp-wise."

As incredible as that song is, I think he has a few of his own songs that are even more moving, Morning Theft comes to mind.
  • The version of Lover, You Should Have Come Over from Live at Sine is a contender too.

Forgive me my sins, but when I saw him do that live, I went for a piss break. :D

What? You thought I'd have the same opinion as anyone else? Tut tut. I thought people knew me better than that around here. :D;)

Well, this is the second most beautiful song I've ever heard. Personally, I think this is the most devastating vocal performance in the history of rock:

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Nah, I actually needed a piss. And a pint. I liked Jeff, but I'm a Tim fan through and through. Sorry for the comparisons, everyone, but Tim sounded like a proper bloke singing, and Jeff was a bit too wet and girly.

    *Runs* :D

I agree with this more than the Sandy Denny one. It's just one of the most incredible vocals ever. Whoever posted Twilight by Elliott Smith, that may be my vote too.

  • Call me obvious, but I really love 'Thunder Road'. The music and lyrics of that song are so incredible. Bruce is the man.
Abraham Lincoln once said, "If you are a racist, I will attack you with the North."
