Anyone mentioning their favourite Jeff Buckley album will be shot on sight. This one's about pops.

I'm voting for Starsailor (1970).

  • I'm partial to Happy Sad, myself.
The car's on fire and there's no driver at the wheel
And the sewers are all muddied with a thousand lonely suicides
  • That's another mighty album, I agree.

I'm sorry I'm not familiar with his stuff, but have you heard Robert Plant's cover of Song to the siren? It's a beautiful song, I seen him do it live a couple of times and he really does a great job.
    I came, I saw, I concurred.....

I have. There's a singer-guitarist called John Smith (yep, that's really his name), and he does a good version too.

    Here's Tim's version, from Starsailor.

Thanks for that. I'm not sure what I expected, but I didn't expect him to sound like that. Very good, a really individual sound, I like it. Will seek more. juk
