Anyone else going? The likelihood of there being

a) no response

b) the response "Who's John Martyn?"

or c) "But I live in Papua New Guinea"

is fairly high, but I thought it'd be worth a try to ask.

I saw the gig listed in the guardian music guide and would like to go but unfortunately cannot get to cambridge...

You didn't have that own as one of the responses didja?! :D
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"

Funnily enough, I couldn't click on that link.

If you can get hold of his album Live at Leeds, you'll be doing fine. As for studio albums, he's done some classics: Bless The Weather, Solid Air, Sunday's Child, and One World are all worth checking out. If you like superfast acoustic picking with trippy hippy lyrics, The Tumbler might be up your street, too.

I'm familiar, he's the man, tha knows. I saw him in Finsbury Park, funnily enough, a few years ago.

Sadly, the possibility of this penniles Londoner getting to Cambridge is very slight. But I'm sure your furry self will be there with bells on ;)
