JIMI was the best. I could only imagine what he would've done if he would've lived longer. I'm sure he's JAMMING somewhere in the LAND OF THE NEW RISING SUN.

he didn't live long enough to screw up his rep.

as ridiculous as it is to say those kinds of things, im completely agree. He and Morrison got out before it got ugly. So did Lennon to a lesser extent. I mean look at what the Stones, McCartney, and other classic artists did to themselves in the 80s("we Built This City'!?!?! What the fuck, Grace?)...Jimi's reputation is preserved as a legend.
I've faced it, a life wasted, and I'm never going back again.

    Some die just to live.

i disagree completely... who gives a fuck about reputation. someone lost a father, a husband, a son, etc when one of these musical lights go out... so Paul McCartney did the Frog Chorus.. big fucking deal.. he's sitting on a gold toilet wiping his arse with £50 notes and lives in a house we'd call a hotel..

These guys might have lost their "critical rep" but at least they can sit by the fire at Xmas and hand out gifts to their grandkids... rather than being the pop-art silhouette face on some spot-laden teenagers t-shirt...

    fuck that!!! :)

oh... happy birthday Mr Jimi :D
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

I looked at the track listing, and I have those recordings, in boot form at least. I'll still get it, though. Just to hear how it sounds. But you know, Dagger doesn't always give the best deal. The first pressing of the Fehmarn CD had speed problems, and some wizard out there had a speed corrected version circulating, before Dagger could get on it themselves.

I hear ya...but material like The Morning Symphony demos were brand new to me - and really nice quality too! So far they haven't been bad about just "cashing in" on otherwise available stuff. The main website offers several free concerts that are widely available in boot form. How easy would it have been for Dagger to package those up and make a quick buck?

I wonder what he'd be doing now?

    Symphonic stuff... electronics?

    Definately something different.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.
