how are we defining psychedelia? Havens is great but I see him as more folky than psychedelic.
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"
"That's a repulsive combination of horrible information and bad breath."-Pickles
"Remember, death is a natural part of the workplace. So, when you see a dead body at work, don't freak out, just ring your death bell." "ting"-Toki Wartooth

Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
Seventies. Disqualified. Their Michael Mooney sixties stuff wasn't exactly psychedelic, either. Fantastic, ambient, beautiful, but not first-wave psychedelic.
Mind you, Damo did join in 1970. Erm, what year was that clip? Like the DNC convention today, we might arrive at a compromise, unless you want to shout the thread down with cries of "Denver! Denver!"

That song came off of a album called Soundtracks...looking on the back of it and it's dated 1970...
Man, I have a lot of stuff that'll be hard to find on Youtube.
There's some great Cambodian Psych from the 60's. They heard it on Armed Forces radio during the Viet Nam war and I have some freaky cool stuff on vinyl and my computer, as well as Peruvian, Ghanaian and other African stuff.
THey either didn't have cameras to film, or, forgot to put the film in.
I have so much of this stuff,,,, one great band is:
Los Saicos from Peru. They're psycho! Surf, punk and pshycedelic all at the same time.
THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION! Sort of semi psychedelic but they were perhaps their own genre. Zappa used a red SG for a while so that counts as psych!
Everyone should own Freak Out
