Bruce Springsteen on stage now at Carnegie Hall benefit

My parents are at the show and just called. Bruce showed up. So far I've been listening to Promised Land. Patti Smith is there too, she replaced Jewel. I wonder if they will do Because the Night together.

Wish I was there.

Edit again. First he did Rosalita, just him and a guitar. Then all the other performers came out and they did Rosalita again, full band, horns,etc...

I thought I was losing my mind for a second.

Show over. Parents are waiting by stage door to try to get a picture and autograph.

If they advertised that he was gonna show up, then they could've charged more for tix and consequently made more money for the benefit.

I don't think they were planning on him showing up. They honor someone with a benefit concert every year (last year was Bob Dylan, I think) and this is the first year that the honoree has actually showed up. I think it was mostly sold out anyway.
